STEPS To your MIracle

Faith and Healing work together, in fact without faith, one cannot receive healing (or anything from God). I will be explaining the role faith plays in your receiving healing. I want to explore how people in the bible received their healing and how you can do the same for yourself or a family member.

The Woman with the Issue of Blood (Mark 5:25- 34)

25 And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years, 26 And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse, 27 When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment. 28 For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.29 And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in [her] body that she was healed of that plague.30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes? 31 And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me? 32 And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing. 33 But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.34 And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.

Some things about this woman.

1. She Risked her life by coming to Jesus (read Leviticus 15:19-end, and Lev 12). This will show you how dangerous it was for her as a Jew, knowing what the Law said concerning a woman with an issue of Blood.
2. She had experienced pain because of twelve year of constant hemorrhaging.
3. She had lost a lot of money because of this problem. In fact , Bible said, "she had spent all her living". Seems like she was broke at this point.
4. She could not have any tangible relationship with both male or female.( refer back to Leviticus 12 and 15). Anyone with her problem was quarantined from the society for a period of 7 days after cessation of blood flow. in her case, since the problem persisted for 12 years, people must have avoided contact with her, otherwise, they also become "unclean".
5. She was alone ( Remember, people avoided her).Especially No man would be interested in her, because there was no hope of any physical intimacy.
6. She has lost physical strength. 

So, Just imagine this woman's situation for a moment. Maybe you are right now battling cancer, or some other life-threatening disease. Maybe you have even lost hope of recovery. You have tried every thing possible (like she did), nothing seems to be working. How much hopeless can a situation be than what this woman was facing?. She had tried all medical procedures of her day and nothing has worked. Now, lets examine what the woman did to get her miracle, so you can do the same to get yours.

What the Woman did to get her Miracle

1. She heard about Jesus (verse 27) and believed what she heard. People must have told her about Jesus and how Jesus goes about healing people and delivering people from the devils bondages (Acts 10:38). They must have told her about miracle happening at Jesus' meeting (see Luke 6:19) and all the miracles that preceded this event. Bottom line, she heard about Jesus.
2. She believed what she Heard. This is not explicitly stated in the text, but the womans action and the rest of the story tells us she did. If she did not believe, why would she have risked her life and come into the crowd. Rom 10:17 says "so then faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God". Also, Hebrews 4:2 said " the gospel preached did not profit them ( the Israelites) not being mixed with faith. So she could have heard those testimony reports and choose not to believe them. But She believed. she had faith.
3. She kept saying what she believed. Verse 28 of the Amplified bible said " she kept on saying, if I should touch His garment, I shall be restored to health". many people today are quick to say or agree with doctors report or the magnitude of the situation. I am not saying we should ignore reality, but don't dwell on it. More or less, which report will you believe (Isa 53;1, John 12:38, Rom 10:16). What you believe is what you speak. for out of the abundance of your heart, your mouth speaks (Mat 12:34). So, make sure you agree with God and His word and speak your faith (2 Corinth 4:13).
4. She acted on what she believed (verse 27). she left her home, waded through the crowd ( probably in a disguise of some sort, so people will not recognized her). She came in spite of her physical weakness and made it to Jesus.
5. Then Jesus Called all of these FAITH (verse 34). Amazing isn't it. Jesus called all she did faith. You and I can use this event to judge whether we are in faith or not. Many things we call faith are not really faith.
6. She was the only one that got a recorded miracle in this crowd of people touching Jesus.Lots of people "touch" Jesus today, but very few are getting miracles from Him, because ONLY the touch of faith generates power from Jesus to cause a miracle.

Lets review. Very simple steps this woman followed to get her miracle.

She Heard, she believed, she kept saying what she believed, she acted on what she believed. and Instantly, twelve years of affliction healed.

What do you need from Jesus today, follow this woman's example and take your healing. Its been provided for you!
